Sprouted Green Moong Dal Chaat

Sprouted Moong Dal Chaat is really healthy and nutritious. It helps in loosing weight fast. You can add various veggies like tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and green chillies and make it a wonderful and tempting dish. This chaat is very easy peasy to make and it can be served for the breakfast or as an evening snacks.




Ingredients:

Sprouted Moong Dal- 2 cups
Onion (Chopped)- 1
Tomato (Chopped)- 1
Green Chilly (Chopped)- 2-3
Lemon Juice- 1
Salt- To Taste
Chaat Masala- 1 tsp

You can add any ingredients of your choice like cucumber, boiled potatoes, peanuts etc

Method:

-Wash and clean moong dal 
-In a bowl add 4-5 cups of water and 2 cups of green moong dal cover and leave it overnight for about 8-10 hours.
-Drain all the water and keep it aside.
-In a pan add 1 cup of water and the sprouted dal and bring it to boil for 10-15 minutes.
-Drain the hot water and rinse with cold water.
-Add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies and lemon juice to the dal.Sprinkle chat masala and salt according to your taste.
-You can even keep the boiled moong dal in the refrigerator for later use.

MOONG DAL CHILLA WITH SPICY GARLIC CHUTNEY



Moong Dal paneer chilla makes an awesome appetizer for the parties.Whenever I go to any party I never miss to eat chilla. The chutney makes it even more tasty.It is a very healthy snack`for both adult and kids.You can even make chilla for your kid's lunch box and trust me your kiddo will definitely love it.

INGREDIENTS:

Moong Dal- 2 cups
Urad Dal- 1/2 cup
Green chillies- 3
Asafoetida - A pinch
Saunf/ Fennel seeds- 1/2 tsp
Red Chilly powder- 1.2 tsp
Salt -To Taste

Fillings:

Paneer- 1/2 cup grated
Onion- 2 tbsp choppedCoriander- 2 tsp finely chopped
Chat Masala- For seasoning

METHOD:

-In a bowl soak moong dal and urad dal for 6-8 hours. In a mixer grinder add the soaked dals with green chillies and little water. Do not make the batter too thin.

-Make a smooth batter and then add salt, red chilly powder and the fennel seeds.
In a non stick pan pan heat little oil and pour the batter in a circular motion.

-Allow it to cook for few minutes. When the sides become brown, flip it and cook another side.

-Take it out on a platter and fill the paneer fillings in the centre.


-Serve with spicy garlic chutney or tomato sauce.

Enjoy it in the monsoon. :)

SOYABEEN CUTLET




SOYABEEN CUTLET

COOKING TIME: 30 minutes
SERVINGS: 2

INGREDIENTS:

Soya Granules- 1/2 cup
Boiled Potatoes - 2 medium
Onion-1 (Chopped)
Capsicum- 1 small (chopped)
Green chillies- 1 (chopped)
Boiled Green Peas-1/4th cup
Red Chilli Powder- 1tsp
Chaat Masala- 1tsp
Coriander leaver-finely chopped
Bread crumbs-1 cup
Maida- 2tbsp
Salt- To Taste
Oil for frying

GARNISHING:
Cabbage- 1/4th cup (Thinly Sliced)

Coriander leaves
Tomato Sauce
 

METHOD:

-Pressure cook the soya granules just for 1 whistle until soft. When done rinse in cold water 3-4 times to get rid of the smell. Squeeze tightly to get rid of the remaining water.
-In a bowl mash the boiled potatoes and add soya granules,onion,capsicum,green chillies,boiled green peas,red chilli powder,chaat masala and coriander leaves
-Now take a small portion and roll between your palms to make a ball and then press gently to flatten like a cutlet. Repeat the same thing with the remaining mixture and keep aside.
-Take maida in a small bowl and mix it with little water to make a thin paste.
-Dip the cutlet into the maida paste and then place it over the bread crumbs to coat evenly on all sides.
-Heat some oil in a frying pan and deep fry the cutlets from both the sides until golden brown.
-Drain excess oil by placing it on a tissue paper.
-Place it on a plate with some shredded cabbage and serve with tomato sauce.

Soyabeen cutlet is rich in protein and is a delicious and healthy evening snack.It is loved by all age groups.

INSTANT DHOKLAS


Instant Dhokla
COOKING TIME- 30-35 mints
SERVINGS- 4


INGREDIENTS:

Rice Flour- 3 cups
Rawa or Sooji- 1 cup
Curd- 1/2 cup
Water-1/2 cup
Eno- 2 tsp
Salt- To Taste
Oil for greasing

For Tempering:

Oil- 2Tbsp
Curry Leaves-15-20
Green Chillies- 5-7 slit lengthwise
Mustard Seeds- 2 tsp
Sugar-2 tsp
Water-1/3 cup
Coriander Leaves-10-12

METHOD:

-Add RICE FLOUR and SOOJI in a bowl and mix with water.
-Add CURD to the batter and then add SALT
-Leave the batter for 5 minutes
-Now add ENO to it and mix well.
-Now quickly pour the batter in a greased pan.
-Spread the batter evenly.
-Now keep the pan in the steamer and cover the steamer for 10-15 minutes.
-After 15 minutes,insert a knife or a toothpick and check if it comes out clean.
-Remove the dhokla from the steamer and allow it to cool for 4-5 minutes.
-Pour the tempering mixture evenly over the Dhokla and then cut it into small square pieces.
-Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

TEMPERING:

-Add 2 Tbsp oil in a small pan. 
-Add mustard seeds when the oil becomes hot. Allow it to crackle.
-Now add curry leaves and green chillies and saute it for few seconds
-Add water and sugar and bring it to boil.
-Tempering is ready to be poured over dhoklas.

Serve with coriander and garlic chutney.

MINI PIZZA



Cooking time: 15-20 mints
Serving: 2


Ingredients:

Pizza Base- 2
Pizza Sauce- 1/2 cup
Capsicum- 1 (diced)
Onion- 1(diced)
Tomato- 1 (diced)
Mozzarella Cheese
Oregano

For Pizza Sauce:

Garlic-8-9 flakes
Tomato- 1 (sliced)
Onion- 1 (sliced)
Dried red chillies- 4-5  (soaked in      vinegar for 3-4 hours)
Tomato Sauce -1tbsp
Salt and Pepper
Oil



Method:

Pizza Sauce:

 -In a frying pan heat little oil and then add garlic cloves and red chillies.
 -Add sliced onion and tomato to it and saute for 3-4 minutes.
 -Now add tomato sauce,salt,pepper and sugar to it.
 -Turn off the flame and let it cool.
 -Now blend it in a blender. 

Pizza:

- Take pizza base and apply the pizza sauce on it.
- Grate mozzarella cheese on top of it.
- Put diced vegetables and then again grate cheese on it.
- Sprinkle Oregano in it.
- Preheat the oven at 180 deg.
- Bake the pizza at 180 deg for 10 mints.
- Your mini pizza is now ready to go to your tummy.
