MOONG DAL CHILLA WITH SPICY GARLIC CHUTNEY



Moong Dal paneer chilla makes an awesome appetizer for the parties.Whenever I go to any party I never miss to eat chilla. The chutney makes it even more tasty.It is a very healthy snack`for both adult and kids.You can even make chilla for your kid's lunch box and trust me your kiddo will definitely love it.

INGREDIENTS:

Moong Dal- 2 cups
Urad Dal- 1/2 cup
Green chillies- 3
Asafoetida - A pinch
Saunf/ Fennel seeds- 1/2 tsp
Red Chilly powder- 1.2 tsp
Salt -To Taste

Fillings:

Paneer- 1/2 cup grated
Onion- 2 tbsp choppedCoriander- 2 tsp finely chopped
Chat Masala- For seasoning

METHOD:

-In a bowl soak moong dal and urad dal for 6-8 hours. In a mixer grinder add the soaked dals with green chillies and little water. Do not make the batter too thin.

-Make a smooth batter and then add salt, red chilly powder and the fennel seeds.
In a non stick pan pan heat little oil and pour the batter in a circular motion.

-Allow it to cook for few minutes. When the sides become brown, flip it and cook another side.

-Take it out on a platter and fill the paneer fillings in the centre.


-Serve with spicy garlic chutney or tomato sauce.

Enjoy it in the monsoon. :)
